Brake and ABS lights are on HELP!

We changed out front brakes, after that the Brake and ABS lights went on! and they wont go off anymore! Its on the 98 12valve

Scanner reads:

ECU ROM CHECKSUM ERROR 72

What might the problem be?

do you have brakes?, if you do drive it around a little bit the light should go off

Did you accidentally disconnect a vacuum line somewhere? I replaced a master cylinder a while back and accidentally yanked a vaccum line above the brake booster, and my brake lights were on for a week before I realized what the problem was.

yanking vacum lines is always a problem! specially when messing with the pump.
but guess not this time.
The problem was at the sensor on the rear diferential, the one who measures the vehicle speed.

figured the speedo didnt work totally right, so found it that way.
