How many of you guys have to brake boost on the dyno? Last time he applied load and I still had to with a stock turbo on a 97 manual 12v. Now I hav a Super B Special and its even harder. Should I see if he can bump up the load? He said he was almost maxed.

How many RPM are you starting the run at? Id start rolling into it about 1200rpm while riding the brake a little. Let the rpm come up some as the boost does. Once you get to 12 or 15psi let off the brake and throw the fuel at it. Id try to have it going by 1700rpm or so if you can.

So I tried it last Saturday and his Eddie brake either applied too much load or not enough. Also he is new at dynoing diesels! Waste of time and I brake boosted the chit out of it and the drums didnt like it too much. Could only get it to buil 35psi when the wastegate is set at 50psi. Going to a different dyno that uses a static style roller instead.ind of a let down but oh well!

Without the brake I made 60psi and with the brakes on I made 70psi+ and another 60hp. All on a dynojet 248c
