I have a 01 dodge, and am looking for the best brakes and rotors to use for towing. I tow 14k w/ brakes, but 2k w/o brakes and I'm wearing my stock rotors and brakes out quickly with poor performance.

Me personally I haven't found one pad that is better than the other. Just some don't throw as much dust as the others. I think though I am going to try the new duralast brake pads when I need some new ones because I am after a set of pads that don't squeal. As for the rotors, I have never had a problem with my stockers because I take it a little easier on the slow down when I haven't got trailer brakes behind me.

slotted rotors are suppose to be better lets the hot air vent out i got to get some new rear ones might try those

My thing is that I love my rear drums. I crank them shoes down just to where I can muscle the tire around and let them do the work. Alot better on front rotors.
