Break in for ceramic pads?

Do ceramic brake pads require a wear in or break in period before they are set? I put some Caarquest Gold pads on the front end and it feels like they are growling a little. Thanks

Thats normal for those . They will break in after about 50 miles of town driving. But Carquest Golds are not cermamic.

I thought the salesman said they were ceramic I wanted to get the Porterfields but it was three days shipping and I could get the Carquest right now, sooo . Are they metallic pads? are they pretty good pads?

Ya what he said but dont try to speed up the process by riding the brakes cause all that will get it you is cracked pads then u will have squealing.........just FYI
