As all u no i pull 2wd I ended up breaking my g-80 so now i have to go bigger and better. I have been looking into rockwell axle but i want to go with a 4:10 gear ratio instead of a 5:63 i beilve a 4:10 with a transfer case will give me the ablilty to to still pull a sled. This truck is a DD thats why i need 4:10's if i need more speed for the track i will by the 6th gear conversion kit. Whats yalls input??
 
i know tony burkhart is selling 35 spline axle and diff for the 1150

unles you can de-gear the rock wells into the low 5s high 4... it going ot limit your cruising speed


look at an easton rear end off a meduim duty truck ie 4500/5500 trucks

Ya I heard Burkhart and Merchant were both selling 35spline spools along with axles. Wouldn't hurt to check them out. JMO.
 
I wonder if the gear is breaking because the carrier is flexing? A nice Full Spool would solve that.
 
I would jsut try to build the hell out of your g-80. I think a Rockwell would be an unreasonable idea. Plus, with your tires the center section would almost be touching the ground, LOL
 
I dont think your setup justifys all that effort to throw in a rockwell.....Maybe just got a hit of bad luck with your stocker, fix it......See what happens

I would run Pro Gears and have them Crio'd with a full spool and 35 spline axle shafts. $.02

Any body have a $$ amount to get a set of D80 and D60 gears cryoed?

I need the spool and axles in a bad way. I begining to think AAM 11.5 full spool and axles are a interwebby pulling lore. I want to see them. I have heard they are out there. I know some say they have seen them. Kinda like bigfoot, yeti, Elvis, and the lochness monster. Well wait a minute I seen pics of them.:doh:

I would really like to purchase them through Larry. A supporting vendor here. And someone that supports diesel motorsports events near me. He is great guy with good prices and service.:rockwoot:
 
Have to watch the rules also.

Depending on class rules, alot of the ones I have read say Non-OEM rear-end housings are prohibited. It must have been an option on a one-ton or smaller pick up.
