Broken G56

12 G56 broken 6th gear. Input shaft got hit and took a chip out of a tooth. All other gears look ok. $700 obo

All that is different is the 2wd ones have a round drive flange bolted to the rear of it.
Otherwise they are the same critter.

I may have the pieces to fix this, so I may be interested.

That's what I thought. I had to swap flanges on the reman trans I bought because the 4500s have a different one. So I have the flange and bolt for the rear of this one also.

Downside of that is that the output on a 2wd G56 is "technically" weaker than the NV5600, NV4500 or even the Getrag 360 2wd, as they were all larger and had a 31 tooth spline, as opposed to the 29 spline of the 4wd versions.
Of course, the G56 has a case twisting issue, bell breaking issue and gear crashing issue. LOL

I should mention that someone has welded on the case before. Around the rail detent bolt. (or what ever its called) on the left side. Ill get a pic tonight. I didn't even think about that till you said something. :doh:
