BSR Benz ready for 2011

Cool! Any idea on estimated horsepower or what times it's gonna run?

I don't know - they seem to use the car more for drifting than actual racing. :bang

But still, it is a cool build. Of course, it's their business what they use the car for. :)
 
That turbo is far too large, even with the supercharger increasing the effective displacement. Running it on/over the surge line (as shown in the video) is costing horsepower through low compressor efficiency and excessive exhaust backpressure. A GT4088 would have been a far better choice.

But hey, 42 is bigger than 40 so it must be better! :bang
 
well, if the turbine side is tight enough, it will be fine. guys run these things on 2.0L gas mitsubishis all the time. and the mercedes engine has the ability to do one thing that alot of diesels dont, and that is REV. 5-6k rpm.
