I have a 99 cummins that I am putting into an 99 F-350, and I had a few questions.

First, can I run dynomite diesels' 150 injector with a stock headgasket? I have studs and am planning on running the industrial injection silver 62 turbo set at around 40 lbs.

I also would like to spray water meth so that is something to add to the equation.

Also will the stock vp 44 be able to supply enough fuel with an edge and smarty to these injectors?

My fuel system already consists of a 5/8 pickup to an aeromotive a1000 marine spec fuel pump with matching regulator.

Can name off other mods if needed, new to the cummins so any info would be appreciated.

I would say you are safe without studs, but I would go light on the methanol.

I wouldn't spray the meth without at least studs but your setup for everything else. Assuming your motor is an SO motor then the VP on that will be able to support 600-650hp on fuel only. If it's an HO truck then 500hp or so. Either pump will run those injectors though just fine.

He said 99, its a SO.

I'd find a less expensive turbo option and put more money into securing the head.

More water, less meth, seen many an engine get popped due to folks getting carried away with it. The injectors will not pose any problems to the pump and you have the fuel supply issue knocked in the head already, just keep supply PSI at 15 or below. If you already have studs slap'em on, it won't hurt one bit.

Cool, yeah I already put the studs on and haver everything just about back together, prolly order the injectors later this week. Also that is good to know about the water meth, thanks.

Also will this combo survive pulling a trailer when I turn the edge down as well as the smarty? I am hoping to aquire an enclosed car hauler later this year, prolly in the 28-32 ft range, to tow my mustang and tools, possibly a wheeler, etc. to the track.

I've run my aeromotive at 19psi for many yrs---no issues, some will say 20-21 and even 22psi is ok but 19psi has been the norm for me since 2001---one stock vp went out at like 125,000 or 7 yrs and the HRVP has been on for almost 2 yrs under the same parameters----the only diff with my setup is I punched a hole in the bottom of my tank to feed the pump for true gravity fed system-----are you running the power to it through a relay---that's the other key----I'm not a fan of making any electric pump suck fuel, so on that you are on your own, but I'd say everything else is good to go----chris

It ought to do just fine. Turbo might be a little laggy though.

Just make sure the hitch is a good one, a 24V Cummins is a towing mofo, trust me!
