wanting a little more performance , better feul economy and need great reliability. I was thinking about changing cam shaft for maybe a few more items head, turbo. any sugestions?

X2. If that's a prechamber head, you're fighting a losing battle. Rebuild it to 4mg specs and you'll be very happy.

I have two motors and 91 3406B and I have a 3406a that I don’t know the year it’s in a 84 pete how do you how do you tell if it’s pre-chamber or at direct inject. I’m Hearing you guys that I should build the 3406 a factory and maybe hop up to 30406B.

I was thinking about putting an ag overhaul kit they’re saying you can put a C model head on these engines with circle exhaust ports is this a good idea

84 is probably DI, should say on the tag. Does it have a glow plug switch?

What are you trying to do? If it's just a hot working truck, get a good turbo, pull the fuel screws out and drive it. The injection pump on an A is going to be the holdup to any real power.
