building an HX-40 style downpipe

my buddy wants to make his own DP for his 1st gen to run an HX-40, can anyone tell me if this is the right flange he will need to weld onto the pipe to make the DP

they sell a hx40dp for the 89-93 trucks here it is if the link works.

That is the flange its made to slip in 4" pipe and then you just put a weld around it.
