Can it be that difficult? With all the varieties of BW turbos out there it seems to me a guy could go to say BullsEye, or BW or the like and by the piece parts of the exact mix you'd like.

Has anyone done this? What is the value in DIY? Price savings? What about warranty? Will they only sell wholesale?

Thoughts?

i believe the sum of the parts is greater than whole....
like parting out a truck you get more than just selling it outright.

the turbos are easily available. a silver bullet can be had with a t4 non wastegated housing for under $1000 shipped

and junk they crack too

u can build ur own turbo but how u gonna balance it?

Parts are typically balanced individually.

But usually they want you to buy a complete turbo. The sum of the parts are usually more than a complete turbo.

Bottom of page. Turbo #FST1022, Looks to me like it is a S300 ETT 62/71 for $900:rockwoot:

That 62/71 V-band with the oddball S300 1.15 turbine housing is more than likely a popular BW box unit. Since nothing on the site indicates any different, my money is on the fact its non-ETT compressor as the box unit comes that way.
