I bought set of Bushwacker "OEM" fender flares for my 98. I got them installed today and they are ok" but they don't hug the body very tightly. A few parts have a good 1/8" gap or so.

Wondering if this is normal or what? I am going to work on getting them to fit better... was expecting the fit to be more like the factory GM ones that are real tight to the body.

When I installed my extend-a-flares or whatever they are called from bushwacker I had my dad push them against the body as tight as he could while I screwed them in that way I got them as close as possible.

I did that as well. I was pushing as much as I dared while a friend screwed them in.

The fronts ones are the worst. It's like they are made for a 90* fender lip and mine is bent to 100* or something. So when the flare is tight on the fender lip, it wants to pull the flare away from the body.

I'm gonna to spend some time tommorrow tweeking them. I expected it to be a 30 min screw and done thing, but it took use about 3 hrs  Hell I can swap a set of injectors in less than that!
