ive seen it on here but cant seem to find it. can anyone send me the link or tell me how to calibrate a TPS on a 24v thanks

I wonder why go to the trouble of loosening the screws to rotate the sensor when you can just adjust the idle stop.

Messing with the idle screw will only change the idle position. It won't do anything for the voltages at other throttle locations.

And yes you can adjust the idle stop but your not going to go very far with it or the computer will sense something is wrong and throw the truck in to limp mode.

I got ya. I have seen that screw he is talking about but never messed with it. The idles speed on a 24 valve engine is dictated by the ecm correct?

BTW- BigBl's write up on the apps adjustment works.

Correct you are. You can get about 50-100rpm before the ecm trips a code.

theres zero difference in setting the initial idle voltage by rotating the sensor against the stop or adjusting the stop itself... The only difference is the final voltage at the full open stop and that could be adjusted to a spec too :poke:

Care to explain? If all you do is change the idle stop then the voltage for that is changed but the voltages for all other driving remain the same. You rotate the sensor forward and you've now changed the position of the sensor in relation to the throttle position therefore changing voltages across the entire spectrum. Not to mention you now wont have to deal with a high idle or possibly a check engine light that leaves you with a dead pedal. I dunno bout you but my truck operates in more pedal positions than just on and off.
