I pulled my cam out, as im doing a pump swap and some other upgrades. Question is, on the cam lobes there is a tiny bit of discoloration on them. Its just on the top point of the lobe, about a 1/4 inch wide across the whole lobe. The color is copperish or bronzish. Is that normal for them? Engine has 100k, 50k modded. Im gonna put a new cam in anyways but reason i ask is concern of the tappets. Theres no scoring or wear marks anywhere else, even the pistons and cylinders are clean.

Tappets are cheap.Dont think twice replace them.Snedge has them.He sold me a set.
