Can Anyone identify this Holset turbo?

I picked it up at work.

I asked about it they said take it. I figure if I get bored and some time on my hands clean it up and rebuild it.
 
No, its a HC5A, it has its own things that set it apart from an 80. The rebuild parts with need to match that turbo.

Looks as though there is some oxidation on the compressor wheel, hopefully its not bad enough to weaken the wheel.

I would get it rebuilt before I would use it. I have Ken at AutoTurboDiesel down the street from my Phx yard. Or I could send it off to a reliable builder. Maybe sell it. These flow a lot of air.
 
Yes they do, they are not that bad to rebuild, I just did my HT4B. The kit from holset is around $300 I think, but smaller exhaust housings are pricey and getting harder to find, and judging by the pic that has a 40cm+ housing being it is twin entry.
 
Good luck. I have two for sale. That 40CM is a hard sell. Must be tough to get small housings.
