i have a hx 35/ht3b compound setup and would like to be able to keep the boost minimal to say 40 psi until i get my studs but also dont want to park the truck till then is there a way i can limit my boost to this or even 35 psi for the time being .

Cut back the fuel would probably be the easiest way. I'd say you can run more than 40 psi on stock hardware, but whatever you're comfortable with.

like tate said.. cut back on fuel.. and dont drive like a dumbass. just drive it. dont be hot rodding it.

You could just put inexpensive spring loaded relief valves in the intercooler pipe and set those to bleed off excess boost if needed.... The twins won't be fun until you have o-rings/headstuds.

Try and go the fuel route if you can. Bleeding off the excess boost from the charge side will unload the chargers and speed them up. You're not dealing with the worlds most durable chargers when it comes to excess shaft speed.

Haven't I taught you any better than that??

I'm with Chris...relief valves make for high EGT's and TERRIBLE top end...pull some fuel out until you can do it the right way!

Didn't I buy an intercooler pipe from you with TWO of them in there LOL.... I know better but I also wouldn't install twins until the heads o-ringed and studs are in. Its like the cart before the horse in my opinion

I say go for it.These other guys are sissies.

This response reads to me that Ron will send you replacement chargers from his private collection he's squirreling away for world turbo domination purposes.

What Chris meant to say is "Haven't I taught you any better than to buy my junk"

I didn't build that set...those were already there, and I did use them for a bit, but ONLY, because I was making 76psi on stock HG and bolts...and guess what, after I opened them, it limited boost to 58psi, but EGT's went up about 400* to a whopping 1850*

Besides, that was what, 4 years ago? I cut my teeth on twin setups with that set!

Pipe down Chris...there for a while, I was selling all my old parts to those guys...problem was they were making more power with them than I did :hehe: :hehe:
