can i use a 05 48re in a 04

found a guy who has a 05 jasper rebuilt 48re with less than 30k for cheap. my truck is an 04.5 but has the tva cable not the motor. what would i have to change to run this trans?
 
You'll have to pull up some pics! Tranny will work but the valve body has the hook ups so if it's not a plug and play you may have to swap something on the VB. Call Goerend or Garmon!
 
thanks i was thinking i would have to change the valve bodies. this was just something i could pick up now and add a valve body, billet input, and triple disc over the next few months before installing. fiance won't let me shell out 5k for a firepunk right now.
 
There's nothing different on the valvebodies. Just use the detent lever and bracket on the 05 model instead of the TTVA motor.
