Can I use the Bosch alternator?

My 98 12v had a Denso alternator with the posts. I picked up a Bosch alternator with the plug. I am running an external voltage regulator with the DEnso. Can I just "plug" into the Bosch and use the external regulator like I did with the DEnso?

Yeah you can do that no problem. Just curious why did you decided to replace the Denso with the bosh...usually it's the other way around.

Bosch was what I could get cheap. I will be rebuilding the denso when I have time
