Not sure and dont want to ruin my chrome, but I have the Moto Metal 951 wheels on and they can use some chrome polishing, will the POWERBALL with the POWERMETAL aluminum polish be good for chrome or will it harm the chrome?

It works great on chrome, just make sure the chrome is in good shape with no cracks or the powerball will zip it right off. I learned this the hard way LOL
Neither the Powerball or the Powerball Mini will fit between the spokes, so you will have to get in there with a rag.

Here is a pic of the chrome that fell off my MM 951's

wow, thats scary. What did you end up doing? I bought this yesterday just to be on the safe side but I wanted to double check:

I figure just put some on a microfiber cloth and be done with it, the powerball scared me a little and might be to hard on the chrome. How hoes the chrome polish work, good?

Chrome Polish
Designed to work exceptionally well on all chrome, Mothers® Chrome Polish will give you the crisp sparkle you want. Better yet, this polish protects your chrome with advanced polymers, resisting smudges and fingerprints. Use our Chrome Polish on your wheels, bumpers, mirrors, headlight bezels and chrome accessories. It’s safe to use on black chrome and works great on glass. If you want your chrome to gleam with the brightest, this is it.

Just use the chrome polish and either microfiber or terry cloth towels.

I used it back when I had chrome on my truck and it worked great.

Much easier than using a metal/aluminum polish.

I am not a big fan of the power ball. I had some wheels on my old 99 F250 that were a fairly simple design and the powerball began to tear up before I finshed all four. I followed the directions exactly as they were given. I did not overspeed my drill either.

So you guys are just saying forget the powerball and use the chrome polish, assuming to wash the wheels and tires first and then polishing it? Its just that all the chrome polishes scare me b/c of chrome flaking

Yep, just do it by hand with the chrome polish and a towel.

If you run the wheels year round.....I always used to spray my wheels down with WD-40 to keep the salt from destroying them.

Since then I've gone to black wheels and now I park the truck for the winter so it's no longer a concern.

Can you use MOTHERS POWERBALL on chrome

VIKINGDIESEL,

I agree you are better off doing it by hand.$.02

But the wheel inside needs to be cleaned real good, look at the cleaning of the wheels------/www.competitiondiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12778
Then they could be buffed & polised with a clear coat on top for best results.
