Had fun pulling last year did pretty well, this year added about 200hp and cant keep the tires from blowing off, cant get any traction, dont help that the class dropped from 8500 to 8000. 06 cummins quad short single. thinking of moving rear hitch forward, and changing front weights tho hang parrallel to the bumper to get them further forward. any other ideas?

Not sure what your rules are. But I`d say move your hitch forward and put on a set of 35x12.50 20 trXus and your problem should be over. If that don`t fix it completely go up a gear or two or three.

Need some more information... What kind of tires, any kind of locker in your truck, what gear are you pulling, what kind of air pressure, how much weight are you hanging, and how much power we looking at here?

3.73 ratio, g56, 3850dd, 305/60/18 cooper discover stt 3/4 tread, no locker, all tires spin, stock limited slip, pull 4th gear sometimes try 5th on read loose dry track gets under S465 at end though, 70psi rear 30 psi front, hang 600 lb on front, 714 hp hope that answers all questions

Thats a pretty aggressive tire so don't know why you aren't hooking? Maybe air the fronts down a little more? If your getting under the turbo then you are hooking up but that is in 5th low though. try 2nd high but that is a gear thats known to break in the G56's. How long are you riding the clutch out of the hole?

YA tried 2nd high last year and blew tranny, not doing that again, wish I would have known and went back with a 5600. last year I did run 40 psi all the way around. maybe that is my problem, but alot of other people run more in the back. any other pople have input on tire psi

We switched from 285/75/16 Firestone destinations m/t to 315/75/16 bfg a/t's and wadded up a driveshaft tube so they deff give us the hook we were looking for. That was with no hanging weight just a basic stock ex-cab longbed 3.55 gears and a 5 speed pulling low 3rd with 47-4800 rpms and 50 psi all around.

Got any pics of your traction bar setup? May need to move the connection points around to distibute the weight better.

3rd low and 47-4800 RPM's on a CR??

I wish. I could be a rich man if i figured out that kind of rpms on a cr. This was on a 12v but i was just saying that the a/t's deffinantly hooked harder at least on that track. We will see again tonight.

Ok i was confused you were talking on a different truck! Why not jump up to 4th low or 2nd high and get a little more wheel speed but you'll sacrafice RPM's. Back to the common rail problem My truck seems to hook up better when I hang my weights in the middle? also tires if you want some hard hooking tires try some STS.
