I have a carter 4601hp on my truck pushing through my stock lift pump. This pump is rated 14-16psi and 100gph. I have had it on my truck for almost 2 years now and i havent touched it since i put it on. It seems to be a well built pump. Its quiet and I can tell im getting more fuel in the higher RPM. It pulls more RPM and sounds smoother up top. This pump is about $123.

I know that the Raptor fuel pumps have a lifetime warranty and come with a fuel line kit, etc. You can get them in either 100 or 150gph. The main thing i like about them is that they look fairly heavy built and are warrantied, but they are $400. That seems awful steep to me.
PureFlow Technologies Raptor RP-150 Fuel Pump (150 GPH)
I would like to eventually get rid of my stock lift pump and just use an electric pump pushing through the stock filter system. Would the carter handle the fuel my pump would need for 500hp and 4k RPM with no problems? What about the Raptor?
It just seems to me that I would be better off buying a kit with the filters for around $100 more than buying the raptor. I am also a fan of mechanical pumps, and i drive this truck every day so i have a hard time trusting just an electric pump on it. As of right now, If my carter dies, my stock pump will pull through it until i can get home or whatever. Or i can just bypass it. I think if i was going to just run an electric pump by itself. I would keep my carter and buy an extra to keep in the truck in case something happened.
I think Matt Wells was running 12's or 11's with just a holley blue on his 12v.
Im sure i will just keep running it how i have it for a while since i am having good luck with it so far, but I am just looking for suggestions and opinions on the matter.
