I saw a turbo from a Caterpillar 3176 for sale at a very reasonable price, and I was wondering if it might work for a twin setup. Does anybody have any info as far as the specs on this turbo?

All the CAT turbos are made by Garrett...You might be able to find a cross reference from the CAT number to a Garrett

i thought some of them were borg warger units? my dad's 3116 looks like it has a older s300 style turbo on it.

After alot of searching around, it looks like it is a Schwitzer S3B060, still can't find anything about the size and specs.

Funny how big rig guys get away from CAT chargers when upgrading.

Thanks guys, the guy that had it for sale never called me back to answer my questions about it, so i guess he doesn't want to sell it or he already has.

There are a couple different turbos it can be, but the most common is a S258. It is a 58/65/12 and a S300 compressor housing will fit directly on it, if you wanted a direct bolt up. It will need a marmon exh flange though.

The C300G's have funny looking compressor wheels too...lots of difference compared to the wheel used in the Holset hybrid.
