I had I set of tips donated to the cause and have access to a pop tester. I've never had a set apart. Are the right hand thread and if needed how are they shimmed? Anyone have a picture of one apart?

I'm sure your right on the size. Go easy on me this is all new territory for me. I'm open to any suggestions. Can you explain the injector a little more. Everyone is intimidated by a PSD injector but there not so bad.

Kevin. If I were you, I would call John Link & see what he says about it. The guy knows his stuff about injectors. 231-853-2626 His prices are very fair also.

Thanks, I will call him on Monday. I need to get this project moving,

I'd like to get more information on changing them myself if possible. I can tackle a HEUI injector, I'd like to try these.

Your choice, but I'd definately talk to Jon first. Setting pintle lift is touchy from what I hear.

I doubt anyone is going to give you their secret formula for setting up injectors just because you have put together a heui injector before.
If you want to know what works and what doesn't, you can spend the time to try different set-ups or you can pay someone that has.

You don't set pintle lift, you just need to be careful when grinding the pintle back.

Oh. I don't know anything about doing them myself. I was just trying to help Kevin by telling him everything I've heard. Sorry

LOL I got an email today and the majority of the parts are on the way. Weston it was good talking to you today, I learned a lot.

Jamie I comming after you! :charger:

I don't care if you beat me every pull with a cummins. Its the Powerjokes that I don't like losing to.:hehe:

I'm getting excited now, it's starting to show some progress.

When we gonna see some pics Kevin? Another thing that I've been wondering....How do you adapt the cummins to the Ford tranny? Just swap bellhousing?

I got the rear engine plate from Carson Stauffer Diesel Service. It bolts to the ZF6 and uses a 7.3 starter. South Bend has the clutch. Their swapping in the Dodge flywheel and rebuilding it. I'm working on some pics.

Oh, thats cool. I wasn't sure how you would adapt that. I was asking because I found a good tranny guy & he has about every brand etc. in stock. He would swap you trannys for cheap I'd bet. What other parts do you need? Intercooler will work?

Don't really need anything else. I got a throttle pedal and cable from a gas truck that's a direct bolt in.
