so... my truck ran 13.2 this past weekend. im aiming for mid to low 12s....i was thinking about running 31" cheater slicks on the truck to help with traction and getting out of the whole a lil quicker....im running 33" tires and 354 gears......anyone have any insite if this is a good way to help before i spend $2k on wheels and tires ? ??

Sure looks like a 4x4. If it is, you dont need slicks that is for sure.

yea its 4x4 mods are in the sig....the reason for slick and smaller tires is to get the truck to hook up. the truck jumps up off the line.....the other thing im going to try is to strap the front end down to keep it from lifting....

I like the front end to lift a little. helps plant things. I am running in the 10's without slicks and no strapping of the front end. If you are getting tire spin at your level there is another issue afloat. What tire pressure are you running? What tires? In 4wd that thing should just launch and go nice and straight.
