Go to your local plumbing store and buy a 4" to 4" rubber coupler, a 4" pvc fitting that slips inside it with internal threads on the other side and a 4" threaded cap. Drill the cap and thread it to accept an air hose connection. Dial down the regulator on your air compressor and pressurize your air intake (remove intake setup and place this on your turbo inlet). Keep in mind if you don't secure it tight enough, the assembly will blow of the turbo...

something like this:

i went to homedepot and got a 4 inch pipe plug and rubber coupler. clamp those to the turbo inlet from the air filter. mine will only hold about 15-20 psi before it blows off. but that was plenty of psi to find the leaks

mine idnt leak at 20...so im takin it to 50..
sleepin thats the setup right there...my 4'' adaptor i already got will fit that...sweet thanks

alright lemme get alittle more help...truck will hold 45-50- psi on the air compressor but wont make more than 32 out of the turbo with the comp on 5x5. in know the comps werkin cuz w/o it it hardly smokes. with it on it smokes like friggin crazy...

so..what to check next. gonna try it with athe smarty on sw8 and see what ahppens

any ideas why it wont boost up...ht e above adaptor i used got it to 45 no problem and no leaks anymore

brand new super b....even with the filter off it wont boost up...gonna pull it and check the wastegate i guess...course bd says its not the wastegate...but w/my luck it will be

gotta be some reason it wont build any more boost....i cant figure it out. i got plenty of fuel...what else could be holdin me back

I am having the same problem with my super b. Have about 3000 miles on it. Shaft play is good. About 30lbs with the adr on 8 and 110 ddps. I took the adrenaline off recently because i need to send it in and with just injectors the most i have seen is 15lbs. filters ok. egts are ok. smoke is ok. No boost or exhaust leaks. Would like to no why i dont have that much boost.

Just wanted to let those of you know that if you decide to go out and buy the rubber boot and parts to build your own boost tester be sure to use a tape measure to check the size of the boot. I bought a 4" boot but when I got it home and actually measured it it was 4 1/2" so just to big to work. Now I gotta go back and get new parts. Good part is it is really cheap to build.

the 3 1/2 to 4 adaptor werks good cept hard to keep from blowing apart at 40 psi...hose clamps dont werk so well at that press so i wedged it against the alt brkt...45 psi and no leaks...

but puttin the thing on the road is diff all together....

with the comp 5x5 and the smarty on sw6 it makes about 40 psi with the trailer load of hay...bout 10 grand i guess...withe the comp off it actaully makes more boost and less egt's.,...

could i be overfueling it...like over carbuerating a gas motor??
seems like less fuel and the smarty only it makes more boost and more temp...too much fuel killin the fire maybe??

btw empty the truck still wont make more than about 30 -32 boost. really werkin it with some wieght and it makes alot more boost ans egts...
