Clr in radiator?

My radiator has mineral deposits bad. It gets up to 190 fairly quickly on super hot days I had to watch it because it would creep up to 200. There's no thermosat I'm pretty sure some where along the line it got washered. Would it hurt anything to run clr to clean
Out the motor and radiator?
