i have a nv 4500 i have put on a new clutch slave master cylinder because i was having trouble sometimes putting it in gear and i was told that was it. it went out before i got the new part put it on, got pedal but it still wont let me put it in gear. so what else could it be? thanks

Could be the pilot bearing starting to go out/gone out.. This will cause the transmission to keep spinning even when the clutch is disengaged, which will make it difficult/impossible to put in gear.

Have you had the transmission out recently?

i can drive it and go threw all the gears no problem just can use my clutch to put it in gear all a stop and i have never had the tranny out of this is the frist time it have had problems

Well they synchros are taking care of the issue while you drive.. Does it grind when you try to put it in from a stop? Push the clutch in, try to put it in gear, and rev the truck up slightly. If the grinding speeds up with engine speed, that is most likely your problem.

I'm not sure if you can adjust the length of the rod on the factory clutch assembly, but you may also look at that.

did you buy the master/slave complete pre bled assembly or did you buy them seperate and try to bleed it?

bought them pre bled and no i havent tried reving it up and trying that and if it does that its my pilot bearing then, you will have to bear with me im all new to this

Check the bushings on the clutch pedal, see if there is side to side play. Also check the firewall for cracks, and see if the firewall is flexing when you push the pedal down.

There is also a way to check and see if the clutch itself is releasing properly

Give me a call.
