I have a 2000 f250 with a 6 speed and lately my clutch has to be on the floor to get in gear and almost impossible to get in reverse. it has gotten worse and now when I take off from a start I can't get it in gear at all. is there a clutch ajustment or is the clutch gone? or is there a chance it could be the clutch cylinder?

first thing to check is to see if the clutch master is tight in the firewall and or that it dont move when your pushing in on your clutch, i have seen fords with cracked firewalls, and if all that checks good it could be a cylinder and or a broken spring in the clutch. good luck

it has alittle play in it, not much. think I may go get a new cylinder at the dealership tomorrow and hopefully that fixes it. hopefully I don't have to get into the clutch on it.

thanks valair1 for pointing me in the right direction. I replaced the clutch master clyinder and its shifting good. had to wait on the part for a day but it wasn't hard to replace. thanks again
