got this code a couple times tin the last few weeks says cam position sensor signal what does this mean need new sensor both times it has just poped up truck never missed a beat. would not mind to fix but i hate lights on in the dash and am not going to mess with it a hole bunch or i will put the 12v init that i have laid back for hard times.

Its nothing but a $45 dollar sensor! Located under the vp44! U cant see it but you can feel it! Its a pain in the arse to change to! My brothers has been going out for awhile and today the truck went haywire! Tach started jumping all around truck was idleing like crap until it just died! Got a new one coming in tommarow!

thats what i hope got a new one on the way cummins part. i never seen the light come on just looked down and there it was. till the other day tach died then came right back. your right i took it out and seen if there was any crud on it nothing. i dropped the vacumm pump (big hands) the can get to it pretty well. just hope it really cures it. truck runs to good.
