Anyone have information on what is available out there and how well it works on bombed engine?

I'm looking for specific manufacturers of tools you have worked with to record this kind of data. Need to know what works for this and what doesn't.

Many folk claim they are doing this, but I'm not looking for claims, I'm looking for specific product reviews.

If you talking about cylinder pressure testing, the anti up on the test equipment and latest data acquisition equipment, using the pizzo method starts at over a $ 100,000 and goes up from there. The dyno equipment used at GBE and frequently used by OEM and other researchers is one of the most extensive in the country.
The useful information obtained with this type data acquisition is crucial if you really going to develop reliable produces and be on the cutting edge of technology.

Naw, want to find a way to do it that the racers can afford.

pizzo....... isn't that just a bunch of crystals? Seems that a peice of test equipment wouldn't be that expensive?
