Common rail/48re in a SD

I talked to Autoworld today and they told me I need a special modual from ATS to run the 48re.I also need a special valve body. I thought If I had the computer from the truck I was good. Has anyone put a newer common rail with a 48re in a ford.

Mine runs just fine...no PCS controller, no special VB...
All you have to do, as Joe figured out, is wire in a relay or the trans will go into limp mode. I'm not exactly sure where the relay goes...Joe would know for sure.

I have a few gauges to finish installing tomorrow then I'm throwing on the Smarty and the MP8 for some real testing. On stock tun ing though...it drives and shifts just like it should.

why not use the 5r110 rob????

The 5R110 has demonstrated issues at the power you can get from the Cummins, also IIRC you can build a 48RE cheaper and easier (more hard parts available).
