Complete engine

I have found a complete running 12 valve. My question is would I be better off to buy this and rob what I need to do a conversion and sell what I can of the rest of it or just buy the parts I need? So far the whole running engine is the cheapest route but I'm just guessin that all the stuff from it would work. I have done some research but still kinda foggy. I can get the 12 valve for 1300.
 
you would stil have to get lines and various little parts. get ready to pull the cam to get covers on and off.
but its still cheaper to buy engine than source parts.
 
Figured on the lines and cam sensor relocating thing maybe a few other odds and ends. Didn't think you had to pull the cam to get the cover off??
 
unless you pull the gear off the cam, there are threads on here how to do it, most regular pullers won't work though...,
that's why most people get a cam when they ppump their truck!
 
Yes it will be cheaper than buying all the parts. I bought a complete 12 valve and sold everything I didn't need off of it and came out ahead.
