The yellow lead compound you get with install kits for a rear, where can you get it individually or what have guys been using as a substitute when setting up gears in a rear? Im not shure what to use that will give me good marks that are accurate and not smeared.

Drive line shops usually have those little tubes laying around everywhere from years of install kits, Ive just gone up there and they will gladly get you some, Ive seen both white and yellow they both work good.

I was thinkin about grease and anti seize, but wasnt shure of how accurate the reading would be. But anyways i got lucky and my buddy had some layin in his tool chest when i went to borrow the lash gauge.
