Hello everyone, I've been searching and have come up many different answers thus confusing me even more.

My brother has a spare Schwitzer turbo off of a 3406 CAT that he said is 74mm.

We're going to build a compound kit for my truck using that turbo.

What other mods are required, and what are nice to have but can be upgraded as time and money allow?

Truck:
95 3500 5spd 4x4
-K&N intake
-Banks twin ram
-Banks #7 Plate
-AFC mods (foot ground, washer flipped, star wheel tuned)
-4" dp but will need new one anyways so thinking on switching to 5" straight back.
-WH1C turbo
-Stock injectors

I plan on keeping my stock turbo if it'll work.

Mods I'm thinking I should get when I build the twins:
-4k GSK with 60lb springs
-ARP head studs
-#100 plate
- 5" DP straight back
- 5x 0.012 or would 5x0.014 be better?

I'm looking to keep it as my daily driver, occasional towing up to 10k, and rarely a 20k gooseneck, occasional drag, no pulling.

My HP I'm sure will be limited by the WH1C, but is 550-600 attainable?

Any suggestions to my anticipated mod list, or others I missed?

Any changes to the mods if I had a super B as the top turbo?

You'd be better off with 5x.014's with 550-600hp versus 5x.012's. Some would say go even bigger.

I don't know how far a stock lift pump will take you hp-wise.. But you may start looking into an airdog fuel system with 600hp. Maybe not 100% necessary, but worth looking into.

Definitely a serious clutch and HD hydraulics for a daily driver.

$.02

yes, I forgot to add a DD clutch to my list. I'm not dead set on 600, mainly want a fast fun truck the drives well on the street.

I'm used to my cammed mustang and gsxr 750, so I need more out of her.

so roughly, about 450-550ish hp for 5x.012, and 550-600ish for 5x.014's?

Sounds good. 5x.014s for sure. I'm almost postive you'll want more hp fairly soon. So plan big.

what about DV's? will the 130's (I think thats what 175hp trucks have?) be fine for that or should I add 181 to my 130 holders?

I have sdx comps but wish I would have tried 131s or 181s first. Only because of my 6x16 sticks though. I didn't have them when I got dvs.

so what would all the parts I mentioned (with .014's and a dd clutch) make HP wise? I realize the stock turbo will be the bottleneck.

Damn, thats more than I thought.

Can I just replace the studs one at a time for now, and then later replace and/or o-ring the head?

I forgot pump timing. Mine's stock right now, where's a good place to start for this setup? I'm leaning more toward good economy than maximum HP.

16-19 degrees?
