constant rail pressure

I was told that the reason the factory pressure table bounces up and down is to cool the injector. Is this true?

I dout it. With the pressures the system runs they'll be heat no matter what. Besides it doesn't really bounce around but a couple thousand psi which wouldn't do squat. Kill post altogether and pilot in the upper rpm, smooth the table and your injectors will love you.
