I did a search here on them and came up empty handed with only a bit of info on aftermarket arms.So I will ask the masses and see what I come up with so I can address the worn bushings my truck has in the top arms.

A while back(2 years ago)I purchased a set of Solid Steel Lower Control arms and have been patiently waiting for them to release their Upper Control Arms.Fast forward to today and now with 198,000 miles on my truck of daily driving the factory upper arms are showing signs of worn bushings and now have some slop to them which is noticeable on hard bumps.I have contacted Solid Steel and they have yet to have their upper set ready for public sale and I am tired of waiting and need to address this issue.

I realize that Skyjacker and DT Profab are out there available but would like to know if any other brand exists.DT ProFab does not answer their phones, nor does their closest dealer to me Haisley Machine, nor has DT answered any emails I sent to them so I will look elsewhere.Kore and Carli both have arms but neither show any for the 94-02 trucks. The truck is 2 over in the front and I would like to go to the 1/2 in longer front arms to recenter the axle.Any ideas or help is appreciated......Andy

Here is some pictures of the arms I make here at Titan Machine these are 1" longer .I can make them any length you want . If you are interested just send me a pm .

I have the skyjackers & I had to install washers between them & the mounting bracket to keep them from moving side to side & making a popping noise. Other than that, they are tough. I wish I could find some upper ones to match. Throw me a price on some uppers DieselDork.

The control arms (trail arms according to dodge) buckled on my truck the other day. No idea why. Anyone run the ones from Thuren?

dieseldork...PM sent..Thanks

Signature600..OMG!!!..I can not imagine what it would take to bend Lazarsmith's arms.I never knew he made any of them, thanks.

Josh...I forgot about Thuren Fabrication.

Cummins724...I had a set of SkyJacker arms on a previous truck which was a gasser.Their powder coat colors are so poor they faded to a pinkish color and when I called about it they did nothing about it.I am actually very suprised that my D25 coils have not done it too but I keep them waxed to try and prevent it.No more SkyJacker parts for me.

My Skyjacker parts have held up, but their powdercoating sucks... had to repaint the control arms when I put the new bushings in but the springs are totally rusty

Beefy aren't they...I just say them the other day, they are spendy though! Might need to pick up a set later on!

Of course Thuren's look very good, and since about everything else in my front end is from him, I'll bet they won't break either from what I've seen! I have his trackbar, crossover steering kit, steering stabilizer, shocks and shock towers, and a set of custom springs from him as well!

I've had my Skyjackers for 4 years now & they just started rusting this year. I'm gonna paint them black when I paint my frame.

control arms

Carli does make them for the 1994 up, chrome moly, I have them on my 1994 12 valve 4X4 714-532-2798 Talk to Baja Mike Jesse or Sage Carli:group:

Somewhat off-topic:

For the guys looking for a cheaper alternative for 2nd gen lower control arms to get rid of the junk U-shaped ones, 3rd gen lowers are a direct bolt on and are a boxed style from the factory. find a buddy who lifted his 3rd gen and get his lowers cheap or free, it helped the ride on my truck a lot.

TJ..
I have the lowers done already with the Solid Steel units.I knew about the 3rd gen deal way to late to do that but your right it is an option for those who want to go that route.

On mine I have worn bushings on the uppers and I am going to just replace the two sets with one manufacturers arms, then sell the other lowers.I waited as long as I could for Solid Steel to put their uppers on the market and I will go elsewhere now.........Andy

Are those ball joints Ballistic 2.63 '' ?

Ballastic 2,63 mountig with is 2,63 inch and bolt size 5/8.

LOwer control arm mounting with is 70mm -> 2,75 inch -> no problem just 2 shims is needed (0.12)

Upper copntrol arm mounting with is 57 mm -> 2,24 inch -> 2.63 ball joint do not fit ?

How do you eliminate this problem ?

The BALLISTIC joints I use are custom made to the exact size to fit a dodge .The width and bolt hole size is exactly right . They are a direct bolt on no shims are needed . I did a lot of research on joints because I couldn't find any that would fit the dodge's measurements then I ran across these and I think they are the best joint out there . Instead of a snap ring they have a spanner nut so as they wear you can keep adjusting up the slack.

Dieseldork-can you PM me a price for two sets on a 1995? I would like OEM length.

Andy if you need help replaceing your bushings JR. did his today and he is pretty good at it.....:poke:

That's how I did mine. First I had to cut them in half to get the diff out of the truck (to put in ARB locker and switch ratios). Then I had to cut the ends off the diff and the frame. Not fun. The bolts aren't hard to cut, but the metal bushings they go through are some hard mofos.

Hammer, you're a sick man. You wax your springs???
