I was on the high way the other day and did a little 4th gear lock up pull and noticed the RPM went up faster than the speed. Asked one person in my town if it was the converter slipping and they said it could be a little. Asked another person and they said it could be cause i have 4:10 gears. I am not 100% sure who to trust and the converter only has about 2k on it maybe. Truck is stock with a suncoast VB so i don't see how i could of already eaten the converter? :bang. Let me no what you thing of this.

Thanks Chris

did you feel a shudder?

if not then it sounds like it could be the od clutches slipping

Yeah you can't feel anything in the tranny. Drives and shift like a dream. I don't the kid that road in the truck didn't think it felt like it was slipping. I will keep my eyes on it. Thanks for the input guys :thankyou2:

Thanks Chris

mine was shuddering before it came apart and it just feels like the truck has a hard vibration to it.

Then no I don't have this "Shuddering" Cause my transmission like I said shifts and drives like a dream. Idk maybe it is me seeing things but i think the RPM is going up just a little faster than the truck speed. Time will tell.....

i have 315/75/16. And there is no way i spun tires rollin on to it at 50 :lolly: And i never did reset the speedo when i put the new tires on cause i don't have smarty or no anyone that could do. I was thinking that my slef. Thanks for the idea

Thanks Chris

I was just being a smartass.... Sounds like you either have a OD clutch issue or a converter issue.

Another thing i noticed today was that when it is in 4th lockup with the lockup switch on the RPM will move fast from like 1500 to 1600 then keep a steady pace with the speedo till i let off. It's weird

sounds like your stock converter is slipping, the 35's could make it slip alone, let alone a hrvp 44. I would it sweat too much you could get a lot of time out of this converter even though its starting to slip, but you have to drive it easy like you want it to last. not like a jack azz.

yeah gotta go a little easy when i put this edge drag comp in. No level 5 on that for me :badidea:
