coolant type?

So what are yall running? The owners manual says to use the mopar stuff, but i know they are going to rape me. All the stuff at the parts store says it will work with any engine any year. I just wanted to get yalls take on it before i spend $50 bucks on coolant. Thanks.

Your truck needs HOAT coolant - any auto parts store should have it.

i put CAT ELC in mine but mines a 97.

I just put Zerex G-05 in mine says on the bottle for Chrysler vehicles.

Yeah i found the Zerex G-05 at Napa. I did some research on antifreeze and that stuff they sell as "mixes with any color, works any make or model" is bull. All that type is OAT which is still corrosive to certain metals.

Use Zerex G-05.

Fleetgaurd ES compleat (blue stuff). thats what we use at work on all engines.
