OK had a guy consult me about his truck leaking Diesel around the pump Front cover. Anyone ever seen this?

Truck runs fine, but every now and again has a miss at higher RPM's

The picture is just showing where it is leaking.

There is a weep hole on the front cover. I'm sure it's the front seal. I had that issue with one of my pumps. Took the pump to the shop and they swapped the front seal out in 5 minutes. Been good for a year so far.

Where you having any trouble with the pump other than the leak?

Just replacing the seals in most cases will not work.. it will start to leak again if the shaft had a wear ring, Now to make things worst, I seen several builds that the tech was NOT careful and plugged the weep hole with poor placement (seals). I also seen the weep hole completely plugged with silicon, This means when the 1st seal blows the 2nd is just a cover its designed to stop fuel form entering the engine, if the weep is plugged it will make oil.

This is a common problem and is easily fix, Yes we have the fix for this.
