CR Coil Springs on a 98.5

Has this ever been done? Looking to improve the ride on my 98.5 3500. I knoticed on the 2nd Gen Cab and Chassis 2wd coil springs they are shorter than the CR springs. Just wonder if this is true on the 4wd trucks aswell, so that possibly it would help level the truck out a bit.

The 3rd gen springs are a little longer and stiffer.

Everyone I talk to says it rides like a wagon with 3rd gen coils.
