Took my truck in Monday cause it was loosing coolant, not puking, but just loosing it, and they said it was a cracked EGR Cooler and Oil cooler. So they replaced both and I'm going to get the truck tomorrow. Would this have an affect on my fluctuating boost numbers???

yes....a badly leaking EGR cooler will cause drive pressure (exhaust) to enter the cooling system before it can drive the turbo...it can affect turbo boost to a point..

when you get that truck back, INSTALL A COOLANT FILTER !
Im guessing your dealer knew or discovered the oil cooler was
suffering from restricted coolant flow & caused the egr cooler to
over heat and crack.

No, they told me that anytime they have a truck come in with coolant leaking they replace both the EGR and Oil cooler at the same time, then if its still loosing fluid they redo the headgaskets.

Interesting. I know that we have to prove that the part has failed before we get to replace it.

If the oil cooler is restricted it will cause the EGR cooler to fail. If the EGR cooler is restricted it can cause the oil cooler to fail. If you need to prove causal part then provide them with coolant and oil temps. If oil temp is about 20 to 30 degrees hotter than coolant you need to put the oil cooler in. The question is do you want the recheck and have to pull it apart again to replace another oil cooler because the EGR cooler didn't get replaced the first time. Or even the motor due to a severe oil over heat?

Well the EGR cooler and oil cooler were replaced. Same boost numbers. Now I remember when I unplugged the the EGR i would loose boost, but if i plugged it back in i would get full boost again, WTF?????
