Cracked Valve Seat

After 7 months i finally went and pulled my head off last night. Everything looks good except for a hairline crack on the valve seat. I called the machine shop and he was wondering if it was a inserted seat or not. He said if it was they could probably replace it. Im just looking for some suggestions, before i drive an hour to the machine shop.
