SmokeN 12 ValvE Diesel Enthusiast Joined Nov 4, 2007 Messages 808 May 12, 2009 #3 mine would not start with the crank sensor unplugged It was going bad and the tach would work when it felt like it and a lot of times it would stay in a higher gear (auto) when coming to a stop and lug it down almost to the point it would cut off.
