Crank case vent vapor

I have about 2,000 miles on my engine since rebuilt, runs great but it always has a slight haze coming out of the crank case vent, however if I take the cap off the valve cover there is no pressure coming out at all. Just wondering if this is something to be concerned about? I would think if it comes out the vent, it should also come out the valve cover. Is it a case of the rings needing to seat?

Doesn't sound like the rings are seated.

That is what I was thinking .... rings have not seated all the way.

How hot has the motor been?

have you made any "hot passes" yet?
mine smoked for the first day. I took some great advice from a smart man named Jason Wells and hooked up my camper and hit some stop and go style driving hitting 1200-1400* several times, letting to motor rest between pulls of course.... by the time i got home she was clean.

Thats what I was thinking, just the fact that nothing comes out of the fill cap had me wondering. Ill have to hook it up to a trailer and beaton it for a while, I have had it up to about 1500 egts, but it was only for a brief period. Thanks for the advice guys.
