I have a 98.5 24v that keeps going through crank position sensors and i cant figure out why there are no marks on them or burns on thesensor or wiring. The truck has a edge comp box, ddp 125's, a bd super b and about 225xxx miles on it does anyone have this problem thanks.

Mine did the same thing, you will have to check your tone ring on the crank, along with all your grounds & wireing, are you getting any codes? Mine was p0336, with 3 new sensors later, same code.
If that is all good, I would say your ECM took a crap,
Thats what ended up being my problem, 9 months later, different ECM, all is good.
Good luck!

Whatever you can find one for... how is your driveability with it throwing the code?

U are changing the one behind the starter right?... That bit of harness is easy to check.. Pinout of ecm is in a chiltons manual, and its a real short run...

I pulled another sensor this time it did touch something the end is smashed and meteal is showing taking it to get scanned tonight to see what codes pop up

Sounds like your tone ring on the crankshaft, looks like the oil pan is coming off,
Let us know what you get for codes.
