crank position sensor

Truck bucked around a few times today, CEL came on. Checked with smarty showed crankshaft position sensor code. how hard is sensor to change. Cleared code truck is running good now. Should I go ahead and change sensor so I'am not stranded somewhere. If I change sensor anything special I should look for.
 
Jcummins when your sensor went out did you have any intermittent problems with it or did the truck just quit running.
 
when mine went out it would spit and sputer. My fuel milage went down hill also, i would loose power just driving down the road. It's not really bad to change it but its not easy if you dont know what to look for. Its around $90 for a new one from mopar.
 
Have a buddy parts manager at stealer, $60.00. It was a little bit of a hassle getting out but not to bad.
