Crank sensor help

Do the vp trucks have a crank sensor? I was under the impression they only have a cam sensor. Have a truck that keeps throwing a 0336 and the tach is acting up and hard to start sometimes. Replaced the cam sensor and its still acting up.

It also has a old Edge Comp, wandering if maby thats messin with stuff too.

Build date of 3/99 but we cant find a crank sensor on it anywhere. Where are they located?

haha, had one break off on me behind the starter there once. That was fun to peel out pieces with a pick.

Take a look at the end of the sensor when you pull it. If it has a groove cut into it the tone ring is probably loose on the crank.

early 2001s have it too
