First off its a 95 12v, 170k or so. I bought the engine with a thrust bearing out. Crank looks good(std), got new bearings for it but found the end play of the crank to be .016 (with the new bearings) The book I have says .004-.014. what options do I have, it seems there are no oversized thrusts for cummins? This engine was an auto but I am going to run it in a clutch application. could I maybe run it? I know I would have to pay attention to it running like that.

i was told .004-.017 so your on the big end. I would call jeff mumau to see if there are over sized thrust bearings available.
