Cruise Control Surge

I need some help with getting my cruise to act normal.

I set the cruise going down the highway, lets say at 70mph. Normally this is around 10psi of boost.

Now what the truck does is basically lightly throttle up and down. The mph stays the same, but the boost is where I can notice it.

With power adders like the Smarty and TST combo I have it will go down to 5 psi and up to 15 psi.... So it hits 15psi, and boom.. .5psi... and keeps on doing that.

It's pretty darn annoying to say the least!

I put a WD40 straw in the vac line feeding the turbo and it helped, but didn't fix it.

I checked the APPS sensor today with a scanner and it read correctly, (0% at idle and 100% at WOT). I think I will test it with a multimeter though to make sure it's correct in that aspect.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what else to do?? I know I can't be the only guy that has had this issue!?
 
Mine does it seems any one with oversized injectors or a programmer does it. I just turn the radio up loud enough to not notice the turbo whine.
 
mine does it if i have my chip all the way up but if i turn it down to 3x5 dont do it
 
This is with nothing but RV275 injectors and it still is doing it. Worse with the TST and even worse with the Smarty.

It's bad enough that people get nauseas from it after not even an hr drive. The mph stays the same, but it's like if I would drive by stabbing the pedal to maybe 3/4 throttle letting go real fast and keep on doing that.

It was annoying enough that I took the Smarty off about 6 months ago just so I could use the cruise.
 
My Adrenaline does it too on higher settings. Just keep it turned down. You dont really need the high settings at 70 anyway.
 
they all do it, if it gives it more fuel its gonna do it, the turbo will start to light then the truck will notice its going over the specified mph and defuel then u will drop down so it refuels turbo spools up quickly and so forth. If u just want to cruise she has to be all stock. Mine did it constantly and it used to piss me off.
 
My adrenaline on level 5 with the 2000 tune doesn't surge at all. Took me a day or two to get used to that.
 
Ok, but my truck surges when it stock as well, just RV275 injectors.

With the TST on 7, it will go from about 5psi of boost up to about 20psi and keep surging that bad. Cruise isn't even usable. On 9, it will hit like 35-40psi :badidea:

What controls the cruise?
