Cryo treating ring and pinion

I'm in the market for a D80, figure I'll probably have to freshen it up when I get it. Anybody cryo treated their ring and pinion?

North central iowa... wondering also if cryo treating is worth the money or not?

I think it wouldn't be good for the ring and pinion... it would make them too hard and brittle!!! The best gear set for compition is the richmond pro gears that are a bit softer(made with more nickle) so they will give a little instead of breaking like an icicle!

Randys ring and pinion.. I think its around 50 bucks... Cryoing ring and pinions are quite common in the 4x4 world.. You can do more research on it on Pirate4x4 forums..
